CHARACTERISTICS:

• It is a selective and systemic herbicide.
• It is a post emergent, broad spectrum herbicide.
• It is translocated through Xylem & Phloem of the plant.
• It checks nutrient uptake by Cyperus rotundus within 24 hours of application resulting in good healthy crop.
• After its application, there is no need for inter-cultural operations for 30 days.
• It needs moisture in soil for 30 days to work properly.
• It is not recommended to mix it with other chemicals.
• It inhibits the enzyme ALS (Acetolactate synthase)/ Acetohydroxyacid synthase (AHAS).
• ALS helps plant produce amino acids which are important for plant cell growth & protein production.
• By blocking ALS enzyme, the weed cells stop dividing & growing which eventually kills the plant.
• It works systemically- gets absorbed by leaves & roots of weed.
• Its symptoms include- Yellowing of leaves (chlorosis) & browning of weed tissues (necrosis).
